Editing/Creating a Web Page

Uploading your Web Page

After you have created your files, you are ready to upload.
Your directory is available via ftp. You will need an ftp client to gain
access to our server. I suggest using ws_ftp. It is available at http://www.windows95.com or http://www.shareware.com .
Here is the dialog box that comes up when you start ws_ftp95. Make sure that
everything looks like this. Change userid to your user login id:
- Using the ftp client, upload your pages to www.elmnet.net. If you save
your main page as "index.html", your web address will be http://www.elment.net/~username/
If you use netscape type ftp://username@www.elmnet.net
into the "Location" edit box. Substitute your user id for
"username" and it will log you into your directory with full read and write
rites. You could drag and drop your files into your web directory.
- Make sure your "index.html" has a "TITLE" that shows
up on the title bar of the browser! This will show up in the title of the page in
the "Personal Webs" page directory along with your username.
- The ftp server is "www.elmnet.net".
- Be sure to substitute your Login ID where it says "username."
- Once you have completed the above steps, your web page will be
automatically added to our "Personal Webs" link.
