BN 2916 heads up the D-GALGAL, a one time light engine move from Galesburg to Yates City and
back to pick up a string of autoracks that had been in storage on the old Yates City Subdivision.
The train is seen here apporaching Knoxville, IL on the return trip west.





Here, on May 28, 2002, the Peoria and Pekin Union is seen dragging a 100 car coal train under the Bob Michel Bridge in downtown Peoria, IL. This coal comes from the CNIC in Pekin, IL and is moving to the Iowa Interstate's Limit yard for forwarding to Cedar Rapids, IA.  The P&PU is using the IAIS's power, which on this day includes five IAIS units as well as a leased GP38 still in Chessie System colors.





Norfolk Southern train D45 , seen here on March 18, 2001, is about to enter NS trackage again after leaving the P&PU yard in East Peoria, IL.  This shot was taken from the bridge over the east end of the
Toledo, Peoria, and Western yard in E. Peoria by David P. Jordan.
The railroad grade that can be seen to the left is that of the long abandoned Nickel Plate.
