In
this photo from David P. Jordan, the TP&W 3878 is leading the LaHarpe
Turn through Glasford, IL on June 29, 2001. After the "abandonment"
of the TP&W's West End, this train was run as needed from Peoria to
LaHarpe to interchange with the Keokuk Junction Railway.
Here
we see the Pioneer Industrial Railway heading north on May 18, 2001 with
five cars for
Pioneer Industrial
Park industries.
Iowa
Interstate freight PERI (Peoria to Rock Island) climbs out of the Illinois
River valley June 8, 2001 with GP38-2 #625, SD20's #100 and #101 and 67
cars.
Seen
from the Adams St. viaduct, an inbound BNSF coal load off of the Peoria
Branch rolls around the curve. To the right of the train is the track
known as the "New Long", and to the right of that, off
in the trees is
the UP's line into their Adams St. Yard.
